Business Computing is a degree designed to help you advance your career. You will be taught the fundamentals of Business like management marketing, accounting, and management. This will equip you with the knowledge and skills to study and develop computers that meet business user’s requirements.
You will be able to study the most fundamental aspects of computing, such as data analytics and software development. But, you’ll also learn about important areas of business like consulting, management, and IT operations, exploring how digital technology is reshaping business. You will also acquire the broad capabilities that employers are looking for in IT professionals, such as leadership, teamwork and management.
We have strong relationships with industry and you can be able to work on real briefs and participate in a work placement. You will learn how modern businesses use IT and be able to create your own solutions to real-world problems.
Many who complete this course choose to work in a role that requires the combination of IT and business expertise, such as software developer or project manager. Others choose to work in a business-user-oriented sector such as banks and insurance companies, or employ their IT and vocational skills to establish their own business. A few opt to work in the grey zone between IT and business roles such as IT security officer or IT consultant.
